Shunbox ("we," "our," or "the application") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy provides a comprehensive disclosure of how we access, use, store, and share Google user data.

1. What Google User Data is Collected

To provide our services, we collect or process the following categories of Google user data:

• Basic Profile Information: Your primary Google Account email address and display name, used for account creation and identification.
• Email Identifiers: Metadata for unread messages (IDs and thread IDs) to identify new mail.
• Email Content: The subject line and full body text of unread emails sitting in your 'INBOX'.
• Label Metadata: A list of your existing Gmail labels to properly manage the "Shunbox:" folder structure.

2. How We Use Google User Data

We use your Google user data strictly for providing or improving the functionality of our application. Specific uses include:

• Analyzing email content via AI to determine the appropriate category (e.g., "Recruiting").
• Organizing your inbox by applying custom labels and removing the 'INBOX' label.
• Generating personalized AI Coaching Insights, including response suggestions and next steps.

3. With Whom We Share Google User Data

Shunbox does not sell your Google user data to third parties, advertising platforms, or data brokers. We only share data in the following circumstances to provide our core features:

• Service Providers: Email content is securely transferred to OpenAI's Enterprise API for processing categorization and insights. Per our agreement, this data is not used to train OpenAI's foundational models.
• Limited Disclosure: We do not transfer or disclose your information to third parties for purposes other than the ones provided to improve the application's functionality.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Retention: We do not store the body or content of your emails on our persistent databases. Email content is processed entirely in-memory and is instantly discarded once categorization is complete (Zero-Retention Policy).

User-Requested Deletion: You may request for your data to be deleted at any time. To permanently delete your Shunbox profile, custom folders, and generated AI insights, please contact us at alberty.mps@gmail.com. We will destroy your data within 48 hours of your request.

5. Data Protection Mechanisms

We implement the following security procedures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your sensitive Google user data:

• Encryption in Transit: All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS (TLS) connections.
• Encryption at Rest: Sensitive user tokens and profile metadata are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption.
• Access Control: Your data is only accessible to you when authenticated via your secure Google login.

6. Prohibition on the Sale of Data

Shunbox does not sell Google user data to third parties. We are funded by user subscriptions, not by the monetization of user data. We do not use user data for targeted, personalized, or retargeted advertisements.

7. Analytics and Tracking Technologies

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel records page visits and two events: account registration and subscription. It does not transmit any email content, subjects, AI-generated insights, or other user data beyond the standard browser identifiers Meta uses for measurement. You can block the Pixel using browser extensions like Privacy Badger.
